Project management at January Women in Business
Project management, beneficial for personal and professional success
At the January Women in Business luncheon, Dr. Juanita Woods of the Hull College of Business at Augusta University will discuss how planning and organizing a project can be beneficial for personal and professional success, and provide tools and resources to help professionals with organizing, planning, and directing projects regardless of the industry. The luncheon, presented by James M. Hull College of Business, Augusta University, will be held at the Legends Club on Tuesday, January 16 beginning at 11:30 am.
Professionals across all industries are finding themselves managing projects even though their official job title does not include “project manager.” A survey of essential skills for project team leaders, including managing costs, hitting deadlines, and communication, demonstrates abilities valued by all in facing the daily and routine challenges of goal management.
Dr. Woods is an experienced project management professional with 15+ years managing projects, developing teams, and providing management consulting services. She earned her MBA from the University of North Carolina, her Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Florida Atlantic University, and is a certified Program and Project Management Professional.
Tickets for the luncheon are $30 for Chamber members and $40 for prospective-members. Advanced registration is required at AugustaMetroChamber.com. Deadline to register is Friday, January 12.
