New Year, New Faces Leading Chamber Committees

Jason Cuevas with Georgia Power Company is now serving as Chair of the Augusta Metro Chamber's Advocacy Committee.  In his role as VP of Northeast Region, Cuevas has leadership responsibility for Georgia Power's external affairs, operations, sales, customer experience, economic and community development initiatives for nearly 370,000 customers in a 39-county area.  In addition, he plays a key role in directing external activities for the state’s largest jobs-producing construction project, Plant Vogtle Units 3 & 4. Cuevas began his career with Southern Company in 2006 as Media Relations Manager, and joined Georgia Power in 2011 VP of Corporate Communication.

Megan Moye, Chief Marketing Officer for Meybohm Real Estate, is the new Women In Business Committee Chair for 2021.  Megan has served on the Augusta Metro Chamber's Women In Business committee for several years and has been with Meybohm Real Estate since 2013.  Prior to leading the marketing operations for Meybohm, Megan was an account executive at The Augusta Chronicle.  Her career includes positions with GOLF Magazine and Sports Illustrated.  Megan obtained her degree in Journalism and Speech Communications from the University of Georgia.

The Chamber's Ambassador committee is being led by Nancy Powell of Powell & Associates, Inc. and Jeff Wilson with Sherman & Hemstreet Real Estate Co.  Both Jeff and Nancy have been committed to serving the members of the Augusta Metro Chamber for years through their time on the Ambassador committee.  Nancy Powell is the Broker/Owner with Powell & Associates, Inc., serving Georgia and South Carolina.  She has been a successful Realtor in the Augusta area for 20 years, working in Real Estate Development, Consulting, Buyer & Seller Services and Real Estate Promotion.
