Doctors Hospital talks "Living Your Healthy" at September WIB
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, along with Doctors Hospital, is pleased to host Women in Business on Tuesday, September 19 at 11:30 am at the Legends Club. The luncheon will feature guest speakers Dr. Francisco J. Jacome, Bariatric Surgeon, and Beth Norton, Bariatric Coordinator, of Doctors Hospital. They will discuss “Living Your Healthy: Taking on your best lifestyle habits.”
To live life to the fullest and healthiest is a goal and priority we all share, but where to begin to reach that goal is not always as clear. Life changes lead to changes in your approach to health that can include new questions about your health goals, discussions with your physician, and navigating changes to diet and nutrition. Join Dr. Jacome and Beth Norton as they discuss health, nutrition, weight loss, and how to effectively use your time with your physician to discuss your best lifestyle habits to live your healthy.
Completing his surgical training at East Tennessee State University and a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at the University of Miami, Dr. Jacome moved to Augusta in 2012 to join the team of bariatric professionals at Live HealthyMD. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He has particular interests in advanced laparoscopy, bariatric surgery, endoscopy and reflux disease.
As the Bariatric Coordinator at Doctors Hospital, Beth Norton focuses on overall patient experience, building relationships, community outreach and implementing program management. She moved to Augusta in 2007, and completed her Master of Management in Healthcare at Troy University. Beth joined Doctors Hospital in 2001 as the Orthopedic Navigator, and in 2016 was promoted to Bariatric Coordinator of the Health Living Center at Doctors Hospital.
