Augusta Metro Chamber’s Women In Business to Focus on “More than Words: The Art of Negotiation”
Women tend to negotiate more assertively for other individuals than they do for themselves. On Tuesday, February 15 at the Augusta Metro Chamber’s Women In Business luncheon, Wendy Perry, Principal Owner and Co-Founder of KATALIS, will help us change our mindset and master the art of negotiation. Wendy will address the difficulties that come with negotiating as a woman, how to ask for what we want and the anxiety that comes with handling those tough conversations at work.
Wendy Perry is the Principal Owner and Co-Founder of KATALIS. She leads a team of professional consultants and human performance experts that is poised to partner with organizations to coach executives and develop high potentials in leadership. She honed her leadership skills as a Registered Nurse and U.S. Army Officer with over 20 years of experience, serving teams across the globe. The diversity of her experience as a clinician, human resources expert, and educator is unparalleled. Having served in key leadership roles in medical facilities, academic institutions, and executive agencies, Wendy believes that the common factor of success or failure in each organization is its leadership. In addition to her degrees, she has earned certification in Executive Coaching at the University of Georgia and certifications in Women’s Leadership and Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. She currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors of the Columbia County Chamber. She and her husband also partner in ministry to Married Couples. The Women In Business Program begins at 11:30 am at the Enterprise Mill Events Center. Tickets are $30 for Chamber members and $40 for prospective members. Advanced registration required at augustametrochamber.com. Registration deadline is Friday, February 11.
It is the mission of the Women in Business Committee to strengthen the business community of the Augusta region by providing programs that enhance the knowledge, success and leadership goals of working women at all stages of their personal and professional lives.
