Candidate Forums, Hosted by Augusta Metro Chamber and WFXG-TV FOX 54
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with WFXG-TV FOX 54, will be holding candidate forums for the Augusta-Richmond County Commission District 1, District 3 and District 9 races June 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2020. The candidate forums will be available for viewing via livestream on wfxg.com and also available via the Augusta Metro Chamber and WFXG-TV FOX 54 social channels.
The forums will be led by moderator Jay Jefferies, Meteorologist for the WFXG-TV Fox 54 Weather Team, with questions from Chamber members, local leaders and members of the community. Questions must be submitted ahead of time. Question submission will begin Monday, May 25 and close on Sunday, May 31. The goal of these forums is to allow voters an opportunity to hear from local candidates and head to the poll as informed voters. Early voting for Georgia begins Monday, May 18, and election day is Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
