10th Anniversary of Top 10 in 10 Awards at June Member Economic Luncheon
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, with Augusta Magazine, will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch Awards at the Chamber’s Member Economic Luncheon on Thursday, June 7. The luncheon, presented by James M. Hull College of Business, Augusta University, begins at 11:30 am at the Olmstead Hall, Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
The Top 10 in 10 Awards, in partnership with Augusta Magazine, showcases 10 of Augusta's most outstanding young professionals at the Chamber’s luncheon. The Top 10 are featured in the June/July issue of Augusta Magazine, and the Chamber nominates these top young professionals for Georgia Trend magazine’s 40 under 40. In recognizing these individuals, the Chamber aims to expand recognition for Augusta’s young professional talent throughout Georgia.
The Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch was developed in 2009 by the Augusta Metro Chamber to annually highlight ten young professionals (age 25-35) in the Augusta Region. The winners are selected based on their professional goals, significant past achievements, previous awards and volunteer/community activities.
The luncheon will feature a special guest panel of past Top 10 in 10 recipients sharing their experience and perspective on the truths and myths of career advancement. Panel includes Erin Armstrong, 2011, Partner, Dickinson Architects; Jason Blanchard, 2014, Assistant US District Attorney Southern District of Georgia; and Connie Melear, 2009, CFO, R.W. Allen LLC, along with Melissa Furman, 2010, Assistant Dean, Hull College of Business, AU as panel moderator.
Tickets for the luncheon are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for prospective-members. Advanced registration is required at AugustaMetroChamber.com. For more information, please contact Sabrina Balthrop, Director of Events, at Sabrina.Balthrop@augustametrochamber.com or by calling 706.821.1300.
