Resilience Over Recovery: Safeguarding Your Business Ahead of Economic Downturn

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a virtual panel discussion on Thursday, August 20 to inform business owners on ways to safeguard their businesses ahead of economic downturn.  Presented by Bank of America, the panel of experts will provide advice and key steps related to managing cash flow, credit, survival training, and monitoring expenses.  They will also highlight free virtual coronavirus resources available through Bank of America's Small Business Community.  Sue Parr, President & CEO of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, will be the panel moderator.  Panelists include Will Manning, Kathleen Ferguson and Jason Sowinski with Bank of America.

 

Will Manning is the Business Banking Market Executive for South Carolina, responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients across the state, including the Aiken-Augusta GA markets.  In this capacity, he serves Business Banking entities with annual revenues that range from generally $5MM to $50MM.  He formerly served on a select team of Bank of America employees advising the bank’s executive leadership team on military veteran support, volunteerism and recruiting.  For his ongoing work, Manning was selected as a 2012 recipient of Bank of America’s Global Diversity & Inclusion award, among numerous global nominees.

 

Kathleen A. Ferguson is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Augusta Market and Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) in Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Kathleen’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

 

Jason Sowinski is the Small Business banker for the Augusta and Aiken Market and has enjoyed working with Bank of America for over 20 years.  As the Small Business banker, Jason works closely with small business clients to help ensure he understands their business and banking needs.  He is responsible for deepening the relationships with both our existing small business clients and acquiring new small businesses client relationships.
