Celebrating Best In Business at Augusta Metro Chamber Member Economic Luncheon
The Augusta Metro Chamber is pleased to celebrate the 2021 Best In Business awards, Augusta’s Entrepreneur and Corporation of the Year, during the final Member Economic Luncheon of the year. Join us Wednesday, December 8 at 11:20 am at the Augusta Marriott as we recognize these honorees and hear from special guest Allen Fox, Director of Small Business Outreach for the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
Each year in the CSRA, small business owners and corporations are excelling in business while giving back to the community they call home. The annual Augusta's Entrepreneur, presented by South State Bank, and Corporation of the Year, presented by Georgia Power, honor the individuals and companies who have distinguished themselves in business and commitment to the Greater Augusta region.
Allen Fox currently serves as the Director of Small Business Outreach at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. He previously served as the Director of Creative Industry Partnerships working with Georgia’s thriving music, film and digital entertainment industries.
Prior to his work with GDEcD, Allen was a senior consultant in the private sector, specializing in corporate solutions for many Fortune 500 companies, including IHG and UPS. He also worked in public affairs, leading corporate coalitions devoted to pro-business legislation and initiatives. A member of Governor Brian Kemp’s Transition Committee, Allen has also worked with various elected officials at the state and federal level, including Governor Nathan Deal and Senator John Thune of South Dakota.
Allen’s academic credentials include a Master in Science in International Affairs from Georgia Tech and Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Furman University. He is a proud native of Gainesville, Georgia and resides in Atlanta.
