Join us for September's Women in Business to hear from a panel of local female entrepreneurs and business owners.

Dr. Stacy Roberts - Founder of SMR Leadership Solutions, LLC

Dr. Stacy Roberts resides in Evans, GA with her family. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Liberty University, where she is also pursuing her PhD in Leadership. She is a lecturer in Augusta University’s Hull College of Business and a licensed minister at her church, New Life Worship Center. Stacy is a Certified Executive and Leadership Trainer and is the founder of SMR Leadership Solutions, LLC where she works with organizations to cultivate peaceful, productive, and profitable workplaces. Along with teaching and training, Stacy is the author of “Donut Leads the Team”, “Boomer, Be Nice” and “Roscoe’s Rescue,” books that help teach key skills and valuable lessons to young children. She strives daily to allow people to see Jesus through her and positively impact each person she meets.


Julie Williams - Co-Owner of Augusta Gift Baskets

Julie Williams, co-owner of Augusta Gift Baskets, is motivated by the kind and thoughtful act of giving. Following forty years of patient care as a nurse, Julie’s company is Augusta’s go-to gift basket service for easy corporate and personal gifting. Believing "every good and perfect gift comes from above." (James 1:17), it is her passion to ensure customers are sending and receiving the very best. In addition to curating gifts, Julie enjoys Bible study, gardening and coffee shop converstions. Julie and her husband, Randall, live in Martinez and share five children and eleven grandkids.


Lisa Khatib - Co-Owner of Laziza Mediterranean Grill

Lisa Khatib is the co-owner of Laziza Mediterranean Grill, a fast-casual dining concept that has become a thriving fixture in the Augusta Metro area. After retiring from the U.S. Navy Reserve, Lisa sought a new career path and joined her husband, Nader, full-time to help grow the business. Together, they have expanded Laziza to two locations and added a catering and commissary kitchen. Lisa and Nader live in Martinez, GA, with their three children.

Alicia Fitts - Assistant Vice President of Business Development and Community Relations at Peach State Federal Credit Union

Alicia, a native of Augusta, Georgia, began her journey through the Richmond County School System and later earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Grand Canyon University. This education fueled her passion for finance, leading to a successful career in various financial and marketing roles before she found her niche in business development.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Alicia is a dedicated writer, mentor, coach, and speaker. Drawing on her success as both a businesswoman and a devoted Christian, Alicia Fitts inspires women along their journeys to conquer “money mountains” through her new book Thank You for the Mountain where she shares practical advice as a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and encourages women to activate their faith in God to conquer life’s mountains.
