Join us for November's Women in Business luncheon with our distinguished panel of women in the world of politics. Through an engaging discussion, they will delve into their experiences, sharing insights and strategies, challenges, and pivotal moments that have shaped their paths to success in a predominately male ecosystem and how they hope to inspire other females to do the same. We will be joined by Brinsley Thigpen, Commissioner Francine Scott, Terra Carroll, and moderated by Sue Parr.
Panelists
Brinsley Thigpen, District Director for Congressman Rick W. Allen GA-12
Brinsley Thigpen was named District Director for Congressman Allen in February 2015. Brinsley, a graduate of The University of Georgia, previously served as the CEO of the Augusta Sports Council, is an alumna of Leadership Augusta and currently serves on the board of the Alliance for Fort Eisenhower.
Francine Scott, Augusta Richmond County Commissioner District 9
Commissioner Scott took office in December 2020. She was recently appointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee. Francine retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections after 30+ years of faithful service.
Terra Carroll, CCEC, IOM, President/CEO, North Augusta Chamber of Commerce
Terra comes from a long background within the Chamber world and has been President of the North Augusta Chamber for more than 10 years. Prior to this role, she was the Senior Director of Member Services and Small Business Development with the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce for 6 years, and previously spent 6 years as Director of Programs at the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.

Sue Parr, IOM, GCCE, President & CEO, Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce
Sue has been the President & CEO of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce for 18 years, and she has been in the chamber of commerce industry for over 33 years. She is a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive (GCCE), served on the GACCE Board of Directors, and served as the association's 2019-2020 Board Chair.
