Event Details
MedWAR, or Medical Wilderness Adventure Race, started in Augusta in 2001 and was held every year until COVID in 2020. We are really hoping to get a good response from the community in Augusta as we hope to bring back this cherished tradition.
In the 2024 Southeast MedWAR, teams of 4 will band together and race through a course in Wildwood Park in Appling, GA. They will have to run, hike, bike, and canoe their way through Wilderness Medical scenarios, trivia, and challenges. Participants will get t-shirts and swag, as well as the chance to compete for prizes and glory. It is a great way to spend time outdoors, and typically generates a lot of excitement. Races are run around the country, and even internationally, and it all started in Augusta.
As this event started and was built in Augusta, we are looking to local businesses that might be interested in helping us as financial sponsors.
We are a non-profit organization, and all sponsors would be recognized via:
-
T-shirts that participants and volunteers get
-
Photobooth banner on race day
-
Identification in Race Packets for participants
-
Shout-outs with pictures on Social Media.
